TRAINING AND EDUCATION

Harford Community College                                                                    410-836-4000

Offers credit and non-credit courses for academic degrees and for personal interest and development.  Provides financial aid information and general educational counseling.

 

Adult Basic Education                                                                              410-836-4152

Harford Community College offers free classes in basic reading, writing, and math skills for adults (persons over 16 who are officially withdrawn from school).

 

GED                                                                                                          410-836-4152

Prepares adults (16 years and over and officially withdrawn from school) for the GED examination.  Offered at Harford Community College.  Tuition and book fees required.

 

Higher Education and Applied Technology

(HEAT) Center                                                                                         410-638-2500

Six colleges and universities are partners at the HEAT Center.  Each institution offers either the upper level Baccalaureate degree program or graduate programs in selected areas that were chosen because they met the demonstrated needs of citizens living in the northeastern corridor of the state.  Harford Community College coordinates the program and maintains the HEAT Center facility.  Partner institutions provide faculty and establish the requirements of the individual programs.  Website: info@heatcentermaryland.com

Harford Community College is approved for the education of active duty military, National Guard and selected Reserve veterans and their eligible dependents.  VA Educational benefits are available under several programs.  VA students must maintain academic progress to remain eligible for VA educational benefits.  All students are advised to contact the Veteran's office at the college prior to registration.
